Specialist in Women’s Wellbeing
Hi, I’m Jicinta Elliott, a Clinical Counsellor with over 15 years of experience and the founder of Counselling For Her and the Caboolture Wellness Centre.
I work best with people who are ready to take positive steps toward meaningful change, supported every step of the way.
My clients come to me because they want to work with a highly experienced professional who takes the time to truly understand them.
This isn’t about a quick fix; together, we’ll transform your struggles into the lasting change you’ve been seeking, real breakthroughs that make your investment in therapy meaningful.
I don’t offer mental health care plan sessions. Instead, there’s a financial and personal commitment when you choose to work with me because my clients aren’t just looking for the cheapest option; they want the right person to help them with their most important challenges.
My skills, natural ability, and years of ongoing training are what set me apart, and people seek me out specifically for that.
Community & Addiction Work:
My counselling career began in the drug and alcohol field with DrugArm, supporting individuals struggling with addiction. I then worked with at-risk families through government and community organisations, including the Department of Families.
Supporting Parents & Young People:
I’ve guided parents through Parentline and supported young people through Kids Helpline, helping them navigate emotional challenges, stress, and early-life transitions.
Health Coaching & Corporate Wellbeing:
I have enjoyed working in health coaching and corporate wellbeing with Queensland Health and Converge International, supporting people from all walks of life—from teenage girls navigating friendships and anxiety, to women in leadership roles facing burnout, stress, and workplace challenges. I’ve also worked with professionals across corrections, government, education, aviation, and retail, always with a focus on strengthening mental health and emotional resilience.
Through my private practice Counselling For Her, I provide a warm, practical, and person-centred space for women and their partners. I created this practice to bring the quality of an inner-city therapeutic experience to the local community without the pressure, travel, or long waitlists.
My approach is evidence-based and holistic, drawing on psychology, physiology, trauma theory, neurology, social work, behavioural science, and occupational therapy.
Clients often describe me as friendly, practical, outcome-focused, and deeply compassionate. I don’t just offer surface-level strategies I walk beside you, helping you work through the deeper patterns, so you can feel more connected, calm, and confident in your life.
I also mentor other counsellors and collaborate with health professionals who share my passion for supporting women’s wellbeing.
If you’re ready to invest in yourself and commit to meaningful change, I’d love to work with you.
Warmly,
Jicinta Elliott.
